Check the stone to make sure it doesn't leach minerals.

Check the stone to make sure it doesn't leach minerals. A good washing before and if they do... No idea what I would do about it now.

Vinegar doesn't test for all minerals. I used to use the crushed orange rock for drainage but it leached lots of minerals.

How far down does your peat mixture go? Did you cut holes in the tub, or is that what the charcoal/stone layers are for?

There's only half inch of carcoal/stone. don't have any more of the material left. Top W17.5"x 31.5" bottom 16" x 31.5" 60L 8" ish I'm building the stand for it and dam I'm kicking my self for not finding that out.

Is that like the rubbermaid containers that you slide under the bed? Nice size but it must weigh a bit.

Dam it's only 5"deep.

How big are your 14 fly traps? 5" might be too shallow for mature plants, and if they're small, the tub itself is going to seem huge only having 14 in it.

It's 7" high so I could fill it up some more.
