Hi All,
Recently were on a trip to Newfoundland and got a chance to visit Gros Morne Park. Very interesting place, and oh boy was it freezing!
Anyway, first of a Sarracenia in flower. The petals had some interesting markings on it, there were multiple plants with flowers like this.

Also did hike Gros Morne mountain, about 16km loop. Very interesting to see the different plant growth depending on location. One side is basically alpine growth, because of the cold winds etc.
But right at the base, before starting the climb, there are a few ponds and of course Drosera.

Lastly a visit to Tablelands. Nothing really grows here, since the rocks are Peridotite
Tablelands wiki entry , exposed Earth mantle from millions of years ago. Heavy in Nickle, Chromium, etc. Very alien looking landscape in places!

And then a first for me. I've never seen Pinguicula in the "wild" before.

There were also Sarracenia and Drosera rotundifolia and Drosera intermedia or anglica?? Amazingly how these plants grow just about everywhere. Some of them look like they are growing just on a pile of rocks, no water source in sight!

Those water streams are cold, they are formed from melting snow packs.
