A month ago, I received an email from the CP listserve with a CP grower from down south who identified himself as a professional "Naturalist" who was curious on why it was difficult to grow Darlingtonia up here in Canada. After all, as he innocently stated, "Isn't it all ice and snow in Canada?" I couldn't waste my time to reply if this Brainiac didn't do his homework. For us enlighted Canadians, here's a Aggie Canada map showing the various Plant hardiness grow zones across our nation. I'm in a 7/ 7B zone. nlwis-snite1.agr.gc.ca/plant00/index.phtml?mode=browse&layer=zones&layer=cities

For my area it's not even the cold, it's the heat, we'll get up to 110+ and tends to be dry! Sib
