So currently figurig out if I should leave my nep alone or make some cuttings. The main shoot is 14" high and splits into two. The second shoot is 12" These three poped up since I bought her. What would you do?

Wow that is an excellent idea and I will. Now I have to decide where to experiment with this technique.

Hey Bonfield, have you ever tried this? One of my neps has several shoots about 5 feet long. Would I be able to use air layering on one shoot multiple times (perhaps every foot) or does this only work once per shoot?

I haven't tried it yet, most of my neps get sold off before their size becomes a problem, but I'm going to have to soon before a few vining species outgrow their enclosures. I'll be using a less valuable nep(unknown hybrid) as a guinea pig for keiki paste and air-layering in the next few weeks.
In the thread I linked to in the earlier post, someone claims they have had success doing multiple layerings on a single shoot.

What hormone are you using in your Keiki paste? I've been using my homemade 2% BAP in lanolin to break meristem dormancy in a number of plants. So far it's only worked on a Pereskia making a great big fat meristem growth.

@ Lloyd: It's just the commercially produced stuff from flora laboratories, which contains cytokinins.

lanolin and GA3 works just as well too

Nice! Do you think that cytokinins and gibberellins used in conjunction would be overkill?

@ Justin: Looks great, I'm looking forward to hearing how the rooting progresses!

Thanks! I will update it when something happens. thinking of adding more air laying multiple times to see if it works. Thanks to Lane for asking!

So the bottom one I added root grow and the top I forgot about it. I mean...I did it for science! Made sure one leaf was between each one.

Looks good, but I'd replace those wires with elastics. If the stalk ever gets larger that wire will constrict the plant.
