Hello, Today I had a table at the RVWS (Here is their site: http://www.rideauwildlife.org) selling plants and stuff to raise money for them! Here are some pics: Basil and VFT's for sale Display plants. Every single VFT trap is closed with food now with all the demonstrations I did, lol. The whole table. I had for sale VFT's, basil, seed starter kits (none sold), distilled water, and I also had a few framed prints in the silent auction. I have a lot more plants lined up for next year. With every BCP order there are always extra bonus plant funds thanks to you guys, so last year I got some Sarracenia flava seedlings that are doing well this year. I will be dividing a bunch of my Sarracenia (mostly flava) to sell along with the young flavas next year; I also have D. capensis "red", capensis "narrow", D. anglica "Ca x Hi" x "Lantau Island", and a few flytraps growing for next years open house when they are mature. If anyone would like to donate some VFT's or temperate Drosera that would be awesome. With this years BCP order I bought a bunch of small Nepenthes (20+) with the leftover bonus money, so with any luck they will be big enough to sell with the others next year. Thanks food lookin'!

Really neat! Those basil look fantastic! I have some growing in my room and they aren't as pretty as yours. Does the purple one taste different?

The RVWS seem like a solid bunch. Well worth supporting.

I think they taste the same, but the thai basil has less licorice smell/taste. shoggoths: All of the flytraps sold but none of the seed starter kits. Next year since I am going to have a lot more stuff, I will likely advertise on their fb page a few months in advance to get a few more people interested. I will post here as well so maybe some Ottawa members can drop by.

...I can't make out the price for the Flytraps, is it $5 or $8? Either way you should be charging more, taking into account all of the work and time invested to get them to that stage! I may have some donations for next year. Nice plants by the way.
