I was told that VFT's and terrariums are bad ideas I have one ordered from amazon I planned to put the pot containing the VFT on a layer of aquarium gravel with water just deep enough so the plant can use it and since I have a clear plastic dome that has a closable vent and covers the fishbowl opening I was going to use that as well I went online doing research on the topic and came across this www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1A9_9hUCQoso my question is what do I believe and do?

Iv tryed some tropical sundews in big glass dollar store bowls And didnt like it they sulked for ever and eventually died. Just use the tray method of watering ie just sit them in a half inch of water and good to go..

For many years I have grown vfts successfully in terraria. However, I haven't yet done a proper dormancy apart from the first year when I put the corms in the fridge. If u can manage something for dormancy they can be grown very well in a tank. Just focus on great lighting. You need relatively super high amounts of light to get the right growth and colour.
