Hey all, I have an Epiphyllum oxypettalum cutting coming in. Anyone have success with rooting and growing these?

Super easy to grow. If the cutting hasn't been cured make sure you let it sit out of sunlight for at least a couple days. I pot mine in my orchid media mixed with a bunch of sand peat and perlite. Decent light but not too much.

Just bury the bottom couple inches of stem and it will root. I would say 4 inches would do. Epiphyllum just do that, they aren't the most organized growers.

Just remember to keep it on the dry side while its rooting. Don't over water, if in doubt don't water it.

Well, i think it will take, looks like there are some aerial roots coming out of an area that got damaged in shipping. It also seems a little less dried out and leathery than when i got it.

So, been misting it everyday, so it doesn't lose the water it has by evaporation though the leaf cutting. So far not much positive change, but no negative either. Was wondering how long should i keep it dry, before watering it?
