Congrats to the winners, I like that it pays to participate.
A huge thanks should also go out to H20 (Justin) for organizing this incredibly generous offer, as well as all the time and effort (often behind the scenes) that he puts into improving this forum.
Thanks Justin!

So Amanitovirosa picked and got his number twice. Interesting... I'm kidding of course. Congrats! This is why I'm glad that I got someone to choose the numbers that had no clue who's numbers they were choosing, funny how it turned out though! haha...numbers were generated to the rhythm of the universe, with some yin and yang thrown in to break things up a bit. Yes!, a big thanks to Justin!

@ H20 Pm'd
I just noticed this thread, it was a pleasant surprise. I'll be choosing the 50$ off Justin's plants option, thanks to everyone for the generous offers. Funny how amanitovirosa and I both got in twice, the chances....

Funny how amanitovirosa and I both got in twice, the chances.... ...yeah, what's even funnier is the fact that Justin is the winner of my Biggest Flytrap contest so everything appears to have been rigged somehow. Fact stranger than fiction. Congrats on the win!

Thanks guys! I really do enjoy progressing the hobby as much as I can and in todays world the online community is as much of the hobby as growing the plants.
I really do think we have a nice little forum that avoids some of the unnessacy drama that other forum attach. We also have the benefit that our topics are fairly widespread and not vert specific, I've been seeing several forum loose a ton of activity over the last year because of Facebook.
I feel that constantly adding to the forum and keeping things up to date will keep people around.
As always if anyone has any other ideas please let me know!

Awesome! Congrats everyone!
I'll be msging the winners with details.
The 2015-2016 winners will be chosen at the end of April following the March vote. We're going to change it up a little bit and choose a winner for the overall year, a winner for people that entered plants and a winner for people that voted.
Get your plants in and remember to vote!

I've been seeing several forum loose a ton of activity over the last year because of Facebook. I agree the OCPS is a great place and know that Facebook can demolish forums like this. It's happened at ICPS, which is why I've joined TF recently (occasionally I feel like I need to interact with people in the States - but only occasionally ). The said, the thing about Facebook is that information is lost over time. Forums like this build over time. Social media erodes as time passes. There is an incredible value in the types of community that forums like this foster, both for gremmie growers (they have a ready and searchable source of information), and experienced growers alike (building innovations and debating detailed points of horticulture at the bleeding edge of cultivation knowledge). This is why your sincere efforts to keep this place vibrant are so deeply appreciated by the people, like me, who call this their community. So sincerely, and deeply - Thank you Justin! Thank you for ensuring that my favorite place on the internet is there for me everyday, even if I am not able to participate everyday. And I'm not even Canadian! Just an outsider who is so thankful to have been warmly welcomed in. Here is to a great 2016 for the OCPS forum!

In a way I wish that Facebook supported a forum format but at the same time we would kiss 90% of the plant forums goodbye. If it was an option it could be an overwhelming source of information and a great asset to the CP community but for those not a part of Facebook it would a disappointing event. I find Facebook is the best source of trading Nepenthes pollen and seed, no other forum supports the amount of people that are on Facebook and Facebook users are typically on all the time, something that is important if you want fresh seed or need pollen ASAP. Not to mention Drosera magnifica was discovered on Facebook. Thank you Apoplast! It means a lot, I do try to keep as active as possible but there are times when I'm busy with work and the Mods pick up the slack so I also want to say thank you to hal, lloyd, dvg and to all the members that contribute to this forum! Without those who share and answer questions we wouldn't have this forum.
