Which one would you rather have an offspring of... Plant A Plant B Side by Side Interesting as I would think they would have similar growth rates....I'll look to propagate the bigger one....and let this be the end of the line for the smaller one...

Maybe plant A is just a late bloomer. I have a couple droseras grown from seed in identical conditions with identical feeding cycles but one is 2/3 the size of the other. It seems to be starting to catch up now. Don't give up on it, Lloyd is right. Maybe in the end plant A will produce the largest traps in your collection.

...I wouldn't end the line just yet. Just because it is smaller than your other one doesn't mean anything. Take care of it, it doesn't look bad at all. Cheers!

Why do you have bits of Styrofoam on the soil?

They are still genetically the same unless the vendor mixed up the plants. More likely that the plant on the right is growing faster because the soil is not as dense with the perlite I think.

The Styrofoam goes under a leaf if lying on the ground to keep it from getting dirty when I top water ..they are not all in position in the photos..

Don't fret the small things I sowed all my VFT seeds in the samemedia in the same pot I have 1 vertical with a open trap one not so high opened on another plant! Point is some seedlings have no traps in my pot while other plants do! give them time they maybe late bloomers and end up with traps a little bigger.

The smaller B52 has grown well- it's to the left ....as it was in the first photo.

...they both look pretty good. Looks like the smaller one has caught up. What have you been feeding them?

Don't fret the small things My plants really took off when I stopped worrying so much. This is definitely sound advice!
