...I searched and found nothing on this. What do I do with a flytrap that's sending up a flower stalk now, when it's almost time for it to go to sleep for a couple months? I'm thinking the plant thinks it's spring, how do I convince it that winter is coming? Thanks.

I have two plants doing the same thing now. I'm going to leave them on and see what happens.

...thanks for the reply Lloyd, I think I'll leave mine too. I don't know why I've been cutting off all of my flower stalks in the past and buying seeds online. That's like hitting myself in the head with a hammer and taking pain killers for the pain.

Mine are always outside (if the garage is "outside") so I don't know why they would be flowering. They do have a growth spurt when the summer warm weather is over.

I'm not sure but it could be like dandelion, a weed here in Qc.
If you let dandelion bloom and set seeds, it usually don't bloom again. It consider is job done but if you remove/cut the flower before the plant set seeds, it will send another flower stalk and can do so a few time ...

...no I did not. It's just a recent acquisition so I don't know what it's been through.
