First of all, can someone ID this little guy. He came with my S. Psittacina and I transplanted him into a peat/sand mix in a small cup with drainage and in a little tray of water. Am I doing this right? I noticed there wasnt any dew this morning and although there are plenty of fruit flies around, hes not attracting them. What am I doing wrong? Attachments:

Nothing at all. It's a D.spatulata, the plant will be just fine. It usually goes that route when transplanted. Just make sure to water it right through at least once so that the substrate makes a seal around all of those little roots. This will prevent dry pockets, fungal/bacterial growth. Find a sunny spot and it will pop right back to normal. The Drosera family is extremely resilient, soon you will have more than you will know what to do with.

Ng said it well. Just don't worry too much about CP's in general when they first arrive from shipment, usually it takes a week or so for them to completely recover and continue growing. I'm sure your spatulata will start producing dew in no time.
