Hey everyone! Brand new to CPs but like I've heard a few times already , started with a fly trap, completely obsessed in no time. I'm from British Columbia and providing I do ok through the winter, come spring or summer I hope to build a nice little greenhouse to house a couple more I have my sights on. Anyways feel free to comment away , appreciate all the input as I'm still learning. Here's what I'm growing , thanks for lookin

Raymond , maybe you could tell me seeing as how you like your purp's. Do you fill the pitchers with water at all?

I don't think you need to fill your purps. Rain should be enough in your area. On the other hand, it won't do any harm.

Thanks, I wondered because I read somewhere that unlike nepenthes they don't produce their own liquids.but rather rely on rain water. Does that sound right?

You're right. Mine seem to fill quite nicely with the Toronto rain. Sometimes out of a strange compulsion, I do fill them up.

That's a great start- thanks for posting pics. It looks like you have a handle on the plants, so now it's just a matter of time before you run out of growing space

Cool plants! I love the green (antho-free?) purp. Reminds me of some I saw in the wild at muskoka.
