My Spatulata seedlings sent up a flower stalk it got .25inches high the turned black what could I have done for this to happen??

Did you touch it and maybe break it? If not, the plant just decided it didn't want to flower any more. It happens.

Did nothing ..it was in a ziploc bag sealed and some pure water it just blackened!!! lol !!

It happens quite a bit in tissue culture but I've never seen it happen to my plants growing in pots. I assume you are seeing something similar?

Does the stalk touch the ziplock ? If so, perhaps too much humidity ...

In my setup, when a flower stalk abort its often because overwatering.
Why do you keep your drosera in a sealed bag ? Your plants need fresh air(co2), ventilation and a well drained soil.
I speak from my experience, but sealed bag + standing water or wet soil all the time = problems.

@ Maiden the dews are/were in bags seled cause I thought they needed the humidity nothing touching it Over watering is not a issue as I am drying the mediaa little ans did not water for a while do Capensis need this as well?

** Update** the black flower stalk is still there but now 2 more are coming up still green....for now lol

Strange. If the watering is not a issue, then i dont know :/
How do you feed them ? How is the dew on the leaves? Do you have a picture ?

I am puzzled too they are bagless now I fed them 1 DBW once there is alot of dew its probably a freak thing maybe to much humidity who knows? I need a new laptop to get U a pic, this comp is dying will post a pic ASAP

Like hal said, its probably nothing, the plant just abort the flower. If the plant is healthy, dont worry too much. Hope your next stalk will do the thing !
