Hi guys and gals, Let me begin with "I wish you a amazing christmas eve and christmas". My cousins came over from ohio. We went down town toronto yesterday but today...we went to niagra of the lake. We passed by St. Catherines which I found out is called the "Garden City" according to the stone rock I have seen. It looked amazing ...therer were nice nursaries on the side. WOW. Then we went over all the way to the tip. I must tell you it is one of the most amazing sights and places so far. Atleast since now I look for local habitat fauna and flora. I found sphagnum and politrica. They looked amazing. I know you are not supposed to feild collect...but I couldn't resist....I collected a small wad of sphagnum and politrica. I hope you guys can tell me how to keep it green and live. cheers, varun Here are pics which I got: excuse my face expression.....my parents and cousins wanted to leave...I was like "We just got here. It was freezing cold from the lake effect...but I did not want to leave." Later we headed down the town streets. I love the city. So classic...so old style. I love it soo much. I would love to get a house in a area like that when I get older.

St.Catharines, eh??
If it was summer time I would have asked you to stop by, you could "captive collect" some stuff from my bog. Glad you enjoyed the area- there's supposedly Pinguicula in the gorge, but finding them would likely be VERY dangerous as they are likely on ledges of the STEEP walls of the thing, over that deadly water

hmm....interesting. I was looking for CP's....couldn't find anything...but I can imagine it being a CP habitat...considering there is soo much sphagnum around there. it would be nice to spot a pinguicula. it is a wicked place. I will probably go back there once i get my own license and car. Its such an amazing place to sit down and relax.
