I have 50gal and 30 gal terra. Usually when the Rh% is low its because i need to water my plants, the soil is on the dry side. If not, i just play with the holes to get 90%RH. I have a glass on the top, and i hang my t5s.
I never had hygrometry problem.

The problem with RH and enclosed areas is the air flow from my experience. You can achieve high amounts of RH with ease, adversely it creates an environment ripe for disease without the constant circulation.

When I had a 110 Gallon tank set up it was a piece of paragrid you use for fluorescent lighting fixtures with a couple 12v fans zapped strapped to it. Cut to size and put on at least a half hour on / off flush timer. Without airflow heat and moisture will eventually do things in. IMO.

I don't use fans. Just air stones in the bottom of the tank. Never had a problem with mold or fungus. Fans kill my humidity unless it's sealed. I wouldn't use a sealed tank it's impossible to maintain longterm or to control ant type of temperature deviants. Bright light is absolutely essential for terrarium growing

Your air flow is your air stone?, i imagine you open the lid each day for fresh air?

Yah thinking of a small comp fan again its soo new slow additions is a much and i know that The best IMHO is a closed terra, with a lil hole (1-2cm) and a small fan running outside next to the terra, like a meter away. This will keep your humidity high, with a tiny airflow inside the tank. From my experience, if you put your fan inside, your rh will be blowed away.

the little ones I had dropped it by about 5% in the half hour they stayed on for. They were resisted way down though so not really full bore.

I had all my heli's in a completely sealed 20 gallon tank a few years ago. They grew well and flowered. Lloyd gave me a piece of his nutans and I divided it twice into half a dozen plants. But after about 2 years the whole tank crashed with what appeared to be "Heli Sudden Death Syndrome". The roots were fine but the pitchers just turned brown and shriveled up. Tried Benomyl and sulfur to no avail. Now I don't keep anything in a completely sealed tank. And I change the water in the bottom and clean the tank every few months. Seeing all the equipment you guys have really inspires me. I'm getting a small fridge for VFT and tender sarr dormancy and I might just try to set up a cold water filtration and circulation loop for the helis. Or maybe I'll just build a tepui in my backyard. Could be easier and less costly

To tell the truth, im not very experienced with sealed terra. Each time i tried i had problem. The main problem in my setup was the temperature. The tubes throw a lot of heat inside, and it was like a oven inside. Thats why i prefer running a little fan outside.
But its my own experience. Cory and ng are experienced growers with different methods. And as i can see with their stunning plants, both of them are succesful with their terra.
