Hi Mabudon, Now I feel guilty about my off-topic post about the Cylons being mutated scale insects. Isn't Starbuck a woman in the new series? Not that I watch it, I'm a Stargate fan. Lloyd

Hi Sib, both. I am presently in SG-1 withdrawal until March. Luckily, I have Atlantis to tide me over until then. I'm not sure what I will do when SG-1 ends this year. Maybe we can have an online support group.

LOL, not getting cable, satalite or anything else for that matter, I've only ever really watched atlantis. I'd see the odd episode of SG-1, but never enough to ever have a full clue what was going on. Got the lay of the land so to speek with atlantis, and corey keeps buring me the new episodes. So when SG-1 ends, switch all your energy to atlantis hehe! Thanks, Sib

Hi Sib, I guess you don't have fast internet in your neck of the woods. I download all the latest SG-1 and Atlantis by torrent so I won't have to wait. We just watched Atlantis 3-13 tonight. I won't give the plot away but it was good. If you haven't watched all the SG-1 you can treat yourself and get the DVD sets bit by bit. If you like Atlantis, you'll like all the SG-1 episodes. Lloyd

No sweat Lloyd, I started the whole mess by describing my set-up, you just made the obligatory Cylons refrerence and it was ON I haven't seen a single bit of the new series but have heard a lot about it, I think if the local library ever gets a copy I will check it out The original one was possibly my favourite show back in its day, before VCRs made it possible to watch Star Wars at home it was the closest thing, and much more serious and "space-y" than say Buck Rogers (which nowadays I find REAL entertaining, actually, it's like the Fall Guy in space) I tried to get into Stargate(s) but something about the show just kinda put me off- I more enjoyed Andromeda just cos it wasn't afraid to be silly, whereas personally I kinda got Stargate as being silly without admitting it... That being said, I am MEGA critial of anything I watch, having enough experience writing and shooting stuff, I find myself looking at most stuff more as an editor (which usually has me demanding rewrites) it takes something TRULY engaging to shut my brain up long enough that I can actually enjoy it

I've always been a sucker for Science Fiction. The latest Galactica seems too much political science for me but I may get into it.

I've kind of lost track of Stargate and only seen a couple of episodes of Atlantis, but.. are the actors who played Creighton and Aaron of Farscape regulars now in one of these? I think I spotted them when I tuned into the anniversary show the other night. The old Galactica was kind of cool in its day, until that weird guy dressed in white took charge. The Cylon's "By Your Command" line goes down in cult history like War of The World's "To Life Eternal!" and the Borg's "Resistance is Futile". The new Galactica I've lost track of so I'll probably catch up in syndication. Too bad for those of us who missed seasons or don't have the right channels that video stores don't have complete libraries of all our favorites to rent. I still want to see the first season of Farscape and the last season of Lexx but while That's Entertainment used to have them, they sold their stock off.

There are two Farscape characters on the (what's now the last season of) Stargate. Actually I thought that the Stargates had a fair amount of self-deprecating humour but each to his/her own.
