How do u determine if its tropical or not bought one and i assumed it was hardy version but am second guessing ..

D. intermedia is temperate unless it is labelled something else such as "D.intermedia "cuba"".

Hm have to check tag swore it says just intermedia ..maybe ill ask urban bog got it from there a month ago

If it just said D.intermedia, it should be the temperate one. But it's always good to ask to cultivater what form it is.

If there was ever any question of cold stratification and D.intermedia seed... 11 days fresh off the pod no strat.

Oh and i heard back from urban bog awhile ago and they said they were temperate soo there out side in my bog planters doing way better than in the 4 inch pot:p

Yah i was getting seed from ebay had good germination but they took a month before i saw them and they grew slow .. Sowed first patch of my fresh seed saw green sundews everywhere in a week

I should go get the seed stalks and sow them inside and put them out in the spring

Niccce, fresh is the key man.
*I would, they don't need dormancy first year. One could debate at all if you weren't after seed.*

Yah even the d dielsianna which i got 3 to germinate out of 50 plus a year ago ...sowed some and have a full pot full of the guys . again with a week germination well a week and i saw them easily ....i have crappy eyes soo probably a couple days to germ..

Yah im leaving the plant out there for winter just yoinking the seed for over winter. From what iv heard the temperate stuff can be grown year round for 2 years without dormancy . maybe not sundews cuz they grow fast but my flat of saracenias are staying inside this winter

Yea these guys were quick to sprout too, only a few days... I love the intermedia. One day ima convince H20 to plantlet me a D.intermedia/alba )))))
