I have a phal bastianii thats been growing under 1 t8 and i just moved it under 2 t8 and way closer to the light its been 2 or 3 days should i see burning by now if i was going to get burning?

I reckon you will notice something soon. FWIW, Phals are a medium light species (in general) so don't require as much light as Cattleyas or Oncidiums. I think firstrays.com has a good article about light and orchids that may help calculate the approximate exposure.

Thats just normaly when i put a plant in a way too high light spot i see burning of the leaf in 2 or 3 days.
