Hi everyone, I have been working on a free website to host Grow Lists, with photos and additional information. The grow list is exportable to HTML, text, and for posting on forums, bbcode. Eventually all your data should be exportable in some format. In the meantime it is quite easy to link to your growlist, or embed it in a forum. I have been working with some of the great folks at the CPUK forums to test out the site. The site does not work well in IE or older browsers (and I have no firm plans to support them as it is already a challenge supporting modern browsers, tablets and phones etc.). Otherwise it is a work in progress, but please do feel free to check it out and offer your suggestions. The more that people use it, the more I will work to improve it. The site can be found at growlist.coYour password gets sent to you in email, please make sure it is not in your spam folder. This is currently a project of passion and is non-commercial, it is my hope to keep the site running entirely from donations as time goes on.

FAwesome. I can add more fields as well for recording data. Maybe day and night temperatures and humidity would be helpful...

So I played around with the site a bit and have run into a few bugs.
- putting in a common name will reset the latin name - ei, "Nepenthes bongso" then "tropical pitcher plant" with reset it the first name to "Nepenthes ssp."
- common names are hard to find
- forcing to use location data for some Nepenthese is silly
- "Sarracenia minor" is listed under "Sarraceniaceae" not "Sarracenia"
- Something else but I cannot remeber now...
Hope this helped.

Thanks for the feedback.
The latin name and common name are linked. There are far more latin names than common (not every latin has a common) and it is best to always just use the latin name where you can. I will try to make that more clear to the user.
I will try to make sure that there are basic nepenthes without location data.
Thanks for the heads up on the Sarracenia.
I have added over 8000 plants but they get uploaded in bulk so there is room for error in the system. Over time the taxa will get sorted out properly. It's just a matter of time, or if enough people show interest maybe I can do a kickstarter or something to help it along.

You should be able to add nepenthes without location data now. Please let me know here or on the site if there any plants that need to be added or are in error.
I would also like to thank everyone who is giving the site a try and giving feedback. Many hundreds of hours have gone into the development of the site, and it can only get better with more feedback and input.
The site also supports a great many other plants that are not CP, garden plants, succulents, trees, orchids etc. I will be working to add many orchids as well over the next few weeks.
