I was looking for either a B 52 Venus Flytrap plant or B 52 Venus Flytrap seeds I cannot buy in Ebay since I do not use credit cards or have a paypal account I would prefer bare root if someone has a plant.

I agree it's a little much. Wait for the new year when the plants can be split up, Hawaii should have them then.

I will wait for HB I ordered from them before it really impressed me the way the plants were packaged they were shipped to me bareroot they got to me in NL in 3 days that impressed me not to mention the plants were healthy and disease resistant...another plus I wanted to order a King Henry along with a B2 but at the time they were out of stock so I ordered a Big Jaws Venus Flytrap the plants were resilient I broke the root on one that I replanted and is growing slowly I was given a D Capensis as a bonus plant !!! Besides all these good points their prices are fair, shipping is a little high, but it beats buying a half dead charity case from a store and trying to save it.

I was told by someone that my trap with the red coloration was a sign the PH level was too high, but that cannot be it since this is part of a plant that has 5 more stems with traps being made with no red coloration. Plus I have 2 more flytraps planted using the same peat and they do not have any red on them !! It was suggested to add lime to the soil to raise the PH level! I have not done this because from what I know about lime, it is used to kill plant life before or during landscaping. If It burns up plant life why then would it be beneficial to Flytraps?

I now have 7 stems on my Big Jaws plant if only 1 or 2 traps eat does that not benefit all the plant since the nutrients absorbed go to the root ball??

......It would benefit the entire plant Thanx for the answer Someone told me the trap that eats, the nutrients are stored in the traps leaf until needed !! did not make sense to me since they all come from the same place!! I just wanted to be sure so thanks again.

I was wondering how many stems can I expect from my Big Jaws Flytrap? I am asking because when I ordered it from HB I got 3 traps Now I have 7 growing ,1 has all teeth and open but no trigger hairs yet, another is just starting to open but has a few teeth. a few has deformities I hope will be corrected as it grow deformities like large leaves on 1 side and what looks like deformed traps trap 2 is open all the way now but neither of the 2 has grown trigger hairs yet but both do have all the teeth formed now!

I was wondering if the root ball or Rhizome gets accidentally punctured for some reason, will the plant die? I had 1 friend with this say his plant died within weeks, another says he clipped all the black, took it out of the pot and put 1 tablespoon of damp peat ,misted it in fungicide in a plastic baggie. and for some reason, he got new growth when he re potted it!!
Was he messing with me?, or might this actually work(VFT's)

I was reading on a site that when a Big Jaws or any flytrap opens the trap that trigger hairs are there but too small to see and get thicker as it matures. I got a dried Bloodworm and put it in the trap..did not close so I rubbed my tweezers on the leaf it was slow but I am guessing it will be for a while but it closed completely lol ! I tried the second open trap that closed right away....guess it was hungry. I was about to call it a day and say they will never eat but I fed it and its eating now!
