When I used to grow tons of them I found frozen bloodworms work very well. You just have to use a lot per plant because each one i very small but that is only if the plant is large if not one at a time. I get them from any local pet shop.

Or put them outside to catch their own works well ... Mine caught too many ladybugs that I had to bring the plant back in ;D Blood-worms work with all carnivorous plants Ex. sarracenia , drosera , VFT , and Nepenthes.

I heard if you put coffee into pitcher of nepenthes it makes it grow a lot faster (probably because coffee is a stimulant). Maybe it might work dipping the bloodworms or anything else in coffee and giving it to your plants.

Vinnymc, you're close on the coffee point with Nepenthes but the "Coffee Treatment" is usually applied through the roots of the plant not the pitcher. Although is would be an interesting experiment to see if it would help.
From what I've seen the best way to feed your plant is just to leave them outside to fend for themselves.

I agree. Left outside, my VFT is catching so many bugs that I'm worried it might be overeating...

They cannot over eat anytime it catches victims and will take roughly 10 days to digest. It will only open the trap when it ready to eat again. They will not over eat...if the trap is open, it ready to eat.
