Beautiful plants, as always Devon. I had no idea that d. scorpioides could get that big, nor that CFLs could colour plants so nicely. I'm going to have to remember that.

D. dichrosepela-looks like it to me. D. dichrosepela looks like scorpioides but shorter and more delicate.

Sorry, I just realized I meant lasianthus! So many of the pygmies look exactly the same+so many of them.

Wow miss a little, miss a lot!
Hi Devon - Seriously, I am incredibly envious. Your plants are fantastic and the shots show them off so well. Double win for you!
Hi Drew - That's exactly what is happening to my D. aliciae! It's really nice to know someone else has contended with this before. I like the idea of lopping it'd head off - but I think I'm going to hold off on that for a bit. It looks like there is a new growth point beginning. I'd like to see if it can recover from this deplorable state.

I hope that nobody minds me turning this into one of those threads that continue for a while... I took some more quick pics today that turned out rather nicely. carbarup starving pygmae tasmania roseana rug scorp albany barbigera subsp. silvicola walyunga pygmae all green from bonfield - they want fooood! ericksoniae (Dunno if I spelled it right) from CPgeek. I honestly didn't think that pygmies could survive shipping, but they seem fine! kind of blurry pic of D. dichrosepela/gibsonii Does anyone have any tips on getting them to flower? Is it cool temps? Time of year? Feeding? Thanks for looking!

Flowering is a bit hit or miss. I think a change is good. Try suddenly decreasing the hours of sunlight, letting the temp drop a bit or the soil go slightly less moist.
