Hey guys
I got a question for all of you cephanators!
What are you guys feeding your cephs and what are your results?
I am currently growing a baby ceph that came out of TC in which i procured here on OCPS. Just curious to what you guys feed your cephs and what you would feed them if they are still small.
I was going to try beta pellets. Its Winter now so i cant find small insects at the moment. Any suggestions?
Cheers Mark

I use this technique from growsundews.com. Works well for all CPs and avoids mold, which is awesome . Feeding Techniques: 1. Feeding sundews in high-humidity (ie in a terrarium)- Bloodworms (freeze-dried or frozen)- Works very well to avoid mold in terrariums or humid conditions. The following is a fast method suggested by Brian Barnes: "I use a primordial soup of sorts, consisting of crushed fresh (frozen) bloodworms mixed with a little RO water and the "soup" is applied to the leaves with an eyedropper every two weeks. The liquid is absorbed directly, without risk of mold and each leaf gets two drops of liquid only." Brian uses this on his D. schizandra and others.

I use a tetra colour fish food pellet that sinks. The pieces are sort of oblong and 2-3 mm long by 1 mm wide. They don't seem to hurt the cephs. I use dried bloodworms with a bit of water for dews and pings but I find they can mold up in high humidity and temps ~19-20C.

What are you guys feeding your cephs and what are your results? I feed them nothing and the result is slow growth and strong plants.

I feed mine beta fish food pellets. I feed the immature pitchers ground up beta fish food. They seem to benefit from it, mine have been growing very well recently after feeding.
