My new ceph is finally developing some new pitchers. As far as I can tell there is no liquid in the pitchers, Do I need to add some water to them, or do they produce their own like Neps?

Mine usually have their own liquid.
I don't think it matters that much if they don't have it, though. They might make some when the pitcher are older, who knows...
I think adding water would be okay, if you want.

My ceph don't seems to produce liquid too.
I usually watered it from the top so when I do so, I let some water enter the pitcher to the half of it and to this day, it grow nicely and produce 5 mature pitcher this year.

I finally got a look into the largest pitcher. From the looks of it, there is liquid inside, as well as a couple of fruitflies.
