Hey all, Just a quick question for some people here. Just wondering what i'm doing wrong. I've been trying to grow some drosera seeds for quite a while now, and I can't seem to get any seedlings started. I've tried putting them in moist moss, and in soil, and nothing ever happened. What's going on? Josh

What species are you working with, how fresh is the soil and what lighting conditions are you working with? Sib

i'm working with Drosera capensis. The moss and soil were both new when I started. And as for lighting the pots were sitting in a window sill.

D. capensis tends to be a good starter, except for the forms giant and all red. I assume it is a sunny window? How close to the window is it? Would the pot be getting chilled by chance, specifically at night? also how old are the seeds, if not refriderated, they can loose viability quick! Hope this helps, Sib

Well, actually that helps a lot. I honestly don't know how old the seeds were when I first recieved them. I had refridgerated them for a while. And the seeds were taken away from the window at night and put on a table, and back in the wondow in the morning. So I think they might have just been old. (lord only knows jow long they spent inthe mail:S) Josh
