Hi Drew - Thanks! I was shocked it would twice in one year. Hopefully it's not flowering as part of a prelude to death. That would be sad. I'm going to hope it is because it is so happy.

Nicely grown Apoplast !
I have some dentata seeds outside since Spring begin. They even had a few 0C night.
I follow your insight when they showed on Silverhill but the didn't seem really fresh.
So, no sprout yet but it is still really cold here so I don't despair.

Bonjour Shogg - Thanks! As far as your seeds go, though I wasn't there to see them collected, I'm confident those seeds are a fresh as they get. R. dentata is more difficult to germinate and grow successfully then R. gorgonias. The seeds of this species can be very tricky to coax into sprouting. Typically, I really would wait until autumn to plant either species. And from everything I have experienced and have heard about, germination success is improved in both species from a smoke treatment, either smoke disks or real smoke. Typically this is done before chilling to simulate a summer fire. Good luck with your seeds, and let me know if they sprout.
