I'm not certain, but I don't think that this mutation is stable, meaning that it can't be propagated and that it reverts to a typical.

No they are not functional traps.
It might have to rely on a little foliar feeding, until it reverts back to a typical vft.
But interesting cultivar form, nonetheless.

before one of my Venus flytrap die because of the winter (forgot about it but I cover it pretty heavy or intense ) anyway it made a trap That look like those but I don't know what could have caused that(maybe it was fertilizer has to be ) I just put one of those sphere ones

venus fly traps actually do need a dormancy if you want to have your VFT for a while, and what Doug means is that usually VT's are a lot stronger and healthier when they captur insects and if it can't capture insects with those traps, is has to rely on using it's leaves to process it's own food... did I explain that right?
