Hi,
as some of you may know, I am experiencing some soil fungus problem for more than a year now and can't support plants loss anymore. I refuse to spray chemical fungicide as I grow my CP indoor. Reviewing the biological solutions, i came upon Trichoderma (Root/PlantShield) and found a Canadian distributor for this product.
What is it? Trichoderma is a 'friendly' fungi (a biofungicide) living in association with the root system of the plant (but it is not a mycorhizal fungi). As it grows, it takes 'the available spaces' that 'bad' fungus could take and by doing so, avoid their installation and growth. It is also able to degrade, if i remember well, a few of those bad fungi (such as Pythium, Fusarium). Apparently it can be considered as a growth promoter as well, but it is not the function I am looking for first, and always a bit sceptical about a few growth promoter, as Superthrive... both if it really has both purpose, then wow! Anyway I am giving it a try...
I browsed various CP site to find a few 'testimonials', and this has convinced me to try it. The bad point and why i am posting this here, is that a 500g pouch of wettable powder cost 66$ plus 15$ for shipping, and since it's a living product, it can be kept up to a year in the freezer. Since you use 1g for treating 13 nursery size plants, it is quite an overkill (even considering the reapplications) for whats left from my collection (and my budget!), so I'm looking for cpers to split this buy. PM me if interested
A did a very brief summary here, but for more informations, here are a few interesting links:

As an ending note, note that even it's a 'bio' fungicide, it dont mean you can breathe plentyful for fun without seeing any ill effect. Pyro (on Terraforums) said that Trichoderma is a source of toxins, but it can be a different strain. It is stated to be safe by Agriculture Canada, but i would take a few precautions anyway handling the product (ie not rubbing handful of it in my face as a cleanser).
