Hey - I had a quick look on google but I trust you guys more. I read something about using GA3 for these seeds to get them going? I'm getting some d. platypoda seeds in the seed order (that should be here within the next 10 days, right Lloyd? Hehe ) If anyone knows a good method, let me know!

I use GA3 250 ppm with a drop of Tween 20 for all my seeds. I figure why not, it can only help. The ICPS site has some instructions for seed germination. You're supposed to sow them in the fall or something to get the seasons right but I just put them in right away-who knows how long they will take to germinate. www.sarracenia.com/faq/faq5260.html

Thanks lloyd! Great to know. What's Tween 20 and where can I get it?

www.jdphotochem.com/I use it as it's recommended for use in tissue culture techniques and I have some around at home. You can probably just use dishsoap. Tween 20 is a kind of soapy liquid. It's a wetting agent. I use it to wet seeds when I'm soaking them in GA3 or stratifying them. It's also good for cleaning explants as it allows the water to get into all the nooks and crannies.

I have extra GA3 and can send you 10 mg pre-weighed. My cost is a dollar so I'm happy with a SASE and either a couple extra stamps or a dollar in Canadian Tire money. I'll just use a drop of dish soap as surfactant.

I actually already have some! Hackerberry sent me some. Thanks for the offer Brian! Any kind of dish soap in particular? Or are there any types to avoid?

I think they are all the same linear sulfonic acids just with perfume and colour etc. Just need a tiny bit.
