Loblaws had some really nice VFT's. Looked like a year old, out of TC, robust, nice big traps with a touch of red. $5.99.
Terrible instructions:
-fertilize -African Violet soil -indirect light -no mention of what kind of water -no mention that they do better outside

Tricks from the companies so you kill the plant, and so they will always have a market.

Wow, that's so sickening. It's a pretty bad marketing strategy though, because people always think they're impossible to grow, and therefore, don't want to buy them. But I guess they are fascinating enough for people to keep buying them, cause the trays are always half full or less. Pretty sick though, poor plants.

Save em i tell ya! >.< v I went to safeway yesterday to pick up some distilled water and i jus had the weirdest feeling that i needed to check their plants and to my suprise they had some really large typicals that were bigger than any of my other VFTs. They just recieved a shipment of them and i felt obligated to save the plant with the largest traps! Now I got a typical to add to my collection. Cheers!

Those instructions look like they would suit a lot of tropical plants. Trouble is, I think most nonCP retailers of these plantrs, honestly believe them to be tropicals. Unfortunately, following those instructions is a death sentence for the vft.

They didn't say Colisantis, just some place in California. A woman wanted to buy one until I told here she had to use distilled water.
