Get rid of it. Although you can TC the stalks (never worked for me though.

Cant't you propagate it in really wet medium and high humidity as well?

Never heard of anybody doing it. In TC you use hormones to induce growth.

Would agar plates suffice?

It's easy to propagate VFT flower stalks without TC. Just snip them off as close to the plant as possible and then stick the flower stalk in peat moss in the same direction it was growing (tip up). You should see plantlets forming around the base of the flower stalk within a few weeks. I've taken photos and written about it on my Venus Fly Trap propagation page. I also blogged about it a bit here: www.flytrapcare.com/carnivorous-plant-blog/Cupped-Trap-flower-stalks-and-Sawtooth-and-Fused-Tooth-pullings.htmlIt's really easy to do and the success rate is really high (in my experience). I've also allowed the stalk to grow 3 or 4 inches and then cut it into 1 inch pieces and laid them on their sides. This is more challenging to get them to take, but it will produce more plantlets.

wow thanx Matt! would it be ok in LFS? or should i stick with Peat? It would be fine on LFS. I've always used peat with mine though. I just stick them in the peat a little ways and leave them in my terrarium or a sunny windowsill.

you can cut it off whenever and you stick the flower stalk into regular vft soil and it should produce another plant. Devon Blomquist
