I’m considering turning my neglected water pond here in the Falls into a lined mini bog this summer. This one, I would faithfully mulch for the winter. I would probably have room for ten to twelve Sarracenia plants, hybrids or cultivars. I’m wondering what everyones favorites would be in terms of colour, veining, shape, interest or whatever. I’m pretty sure I would include Scarlet Belle and Dana’s Delight on my list. Any other suggestions?

Brian i think purpurea would be nice, or crosses between tall picther plants and pur's would look nice with their hairy hood's.

You could also try S. Minor, it has a different shape and it's a really nice plant.

I'm always a fan of a nice tall and clear flava, any of them are good really, but the shape size and everything looks great. Funny about your picture, I've got the same cross that I'm growing out 2 seedlings (thought they may flower now)... looking at naming atleast one... look like that, just more intense and the odd white pops out. excellnt pitcher density and colour! I can't find an uptodate photo though one plant has more hot pink with not so many spots the other is a deeper red with nice spotting. Sib

I like the typical leucophylla as a great outdoor plant.

flavas and leucophyllas are my favourites.
Just can't get enough of these beauties! What's really nice is to see all of you out there growing the many varieties of sarracenia up here in Canada. That means that there will be lots of decent trading material for years to come ;D
