Have you seen 4 or more trigger hairs on a vft side?
My b-52 just opened a new trap that has 4 trigger hairs on one side. It has 2 bottom ones (the center bottom one) with another a couple mm beside it.

Im sure that's a common thing there bud, I remeber that my red dragon VFT ussually had 5 trigger hair's on each side, and was much smaller then my other B-52 which also got 4 trigger hair's on its trap's, you will notice this is more and more common as you get more involved in the hobby!! prob means thats its healthy?? Now just keep those stakes outta it and instead put a bug inside!!! shouldent your VFT's be asleep bub? ?

Yep, my vft are asleep however these are few TC vft from keehn that are skipping dormancy this year (special request to keehn as I wanted to grow a vft this winter while my others slept) so its small but from my experience in just typicals, ive never seen more then 3 hairs so it caught me guard very much!

Back when I was serving my four year sentence at University of Guelph (i.e. education), I had around a dozen VFT that I got at a flower vendor in a local mall in Kitchener that produced these huge traps that were variable in colouration from pinkish inside to absolute crimson red inside and a red ridge outside. The traps were a good 2" across and when they closed, you could feel the force on your finger. I counted as many as 11 trigger hairs on one lobe.
I actually found the little cubic shaped containers that they came in last week, but there were no labels as to what clone they might be (I don't even think they had named clones then to my knowledge)... but i'd kill to find it again, as I lost all of mine because I didn't know about their dormancy requirement.
