I can use the C070 cap on a baby jar in a pressure cooker without the jar exploding or cap popping off, right? I am assuming that since they're autoclave lids, that they will release the pressure? They don't have to be placed on the jars loosely do they? Here are the lids that I'm asking about: www.phytotechlab.com/pdf/c070prodinfo.pdf

Hello,
What I do is to mix all the TC stuff [agar, MS, Vitamins, Sugar] and then pour them in the baby food jar. I cap them firmly. Then autoclave. I haven't blown any food jars, yet..hehe.. And yes, I use the same phytocap. Thanks to Lloyd for all his guidance.

Great! That's what I thought, but I wanted to make sure before I wasted a bunch of media and baby food jars.

Be careful when you pick them up out of the pressure cooker. Often the caps are loose and you have to push them firmly back on. I have lost a few bottles of medium by picking them up by the cap and they tip over into the pressure cooker.
