ok, i have been looking through all the gardens that sell carnivorous plants, they were all either in Alberta or either B.C. I was quite disppointed because i thought Toronto was the lagest city in Canada, but it doesn't even have a store that sells CPs. I want a Sundew, i have seen nepenthes and VFs in Home Depot and other stores. WHere can i find a sundew?

It is uncommon to find sundews for sale in commercial retail outlets, but if you keep an eye on the "Trade" section of this board, you will find people with lots to spare. You may even find people offering free seed for some of the more common and prolific species.

If you go to the CNE there is a bonsai grower there from Dundas Ont. "Tropical Expressions" that has N. Ventricosa, Drosera spathulata and Dionea dente.

Sheridan Nurseries in Mississauga has Drosera spathulata 'Fraser Island Form' and Dionea dente outside in the aquatic gardening section. They had Drosera adelae but they were all dead last time I was there.
They also have the same "home depot" type cp's you mentioned indoors.

I got a couple of each species at that booth this year but couldn't remember the name. All the small plants were $5 or $6 each and they had large nepenthes for $40. They mentioned they were in the process of moving from dundas to hamilton. Their website at tropex.ca doesn't seem to have anything on CP's though.

Neps: $42 for a ventrata(?), it had better be huge. Bladderworts for sale-very unusual.

My exact thoughts Lloyd! It is possible the Nepenthes could be maxima or ventricosa maybe, but still a little pricey.

Ooooooh those ones ahh I remember that price now it's for the big 12 inch saucer pot filled with sphagnum has about 3-5 if you're lucky nepenthes in them and since it's Humber and they just leave there plant just there with water and it's in the tropical section you can get some very cool random plant growing in there ( the neps are about 6 inches high when I saw them ) and like I said the regular nepenthes from Humber is priced at 10.99 you guys remember my sanguine *sp well the most plants in a pot there is 2 so it is better off buying the smaller neps then the big bowl I almost bought one I did think it was worth it next time I'll check and see if there are some bladderwort growing in there. ;D
I'll edit this later for spelling and stuff

Islington Nurseries here in Etobicoke, Toronto sells sundews (I bought one myself back in October, but it died). I think they only sell it for a limited time only. CNE carries some sundews; I saw them sell it last year along with pings.

I noticed some Neps at Fiesta Gardens (on Christie Street) a few weeks ago for $29.95 while I was buying a VFT and some LFS.
