Yes, lack of knowledge is really a problem in unspecialized nurseries, and sometimes the suppliers themselves have really no idea on cultivars. Anyway, thanks for the tip you responded with, everyone here is such great help.

Sorry I am also quite confused. From what I got, sdeering got a b52 from ellerslie last year marked with kheen's tags. One of those b52s went into shock and split into a couple of plants not needing to TC it. Im also hoping that he was the new supplier who dropped off those green rossetted VFT (b52s) a couple days ago.
I also agree with carnivoure12, the lady who sold the big mouth to me called it Big Mouth Red. Didnt even know that it didnt exist.
PS: Im just really wanting a b52 cultivar thats all, and am not just naming any plant a b52 as i want the real thing. I'm sure you all do.
Thx for all the help! Mark

Hey Mark. Thanks for clarifying As you can see, I'm quite passionate about the integrity of the VFT cultivars as I do try to make a (very meager ) living from offering distinct varieties to people from around the world and am looking forward to registering new cultivars myself. At this time you won't find true B52's offered anywhere in Canada other than by myself or by someone that has received the plant from me, I have even supplied Hawaiian Botanicals with the B52's they offer. It's a long sordid story with much international intrigue but you can be assured that the B52's I offer are all clones of a plant that was obtained directly from Henning von Schmeling shortly before he scaled back on his CP work. Please feel free to make an order and I assure you that you won't be disappointed Sincerely, Rick

I see where your comming from Rick. I'm honored to have recieved a plant from ellereslie, through stephen, comming from yourslef Rick and originating from Henning von Schmeling in the flesh! I hope you resolve the confusion with ellerslie as I get my plants from you through ellerslie.
Respectfully, Mark

Just to clarify I have not sold any B52s. I have sold Elersllie big mouths 2x last year and this year. I am also quite sure they DO NOT purposely mark their plants wrong that are from Rick or myself. They have his tags in them. All the ones I looked at the other day were marked with his tag red form. I do not have tags in mine but most containers have a BM or big mouth marked on the side if not all. I don’t think they marked them other than a price tag. Next time I may have to mark them better. Hope this clarifies. Stephen

I was into Ellerslie Gift and Garden earlier today, to view their cp's. Your vft 'Big Mouths' were looking very nice Stephen, and your Pinguicula cyclosecta's which were in bloom were displayed just inside the entrance to the greenhouse. One plant had three blooms on it and the ladies working today, were quite impressed with these little gems. Mary who writes an article, related to house plants, in every Satrurday's Edmonton Journal, has devoted next week's article to Drosera's and wanted to take a picture of her one and only D. ordensis on display, maybe to be shown in next week's article...stay tuned.

Is this locally in BC only? or is this store present in the toronto area?? I wouldn't mind bagging me one of those full ALL red vft's.

Kuhlmann's Market Gardens and Greenhouses in Edmonton also carries our mixed VFT and CP variety trays.
Sorry Varun, but with fuel prices these days the only affordable shipping options we have go as far as Alberta. Canada Post is still the best option for remote and Eastern Canadian shipping.
