Hey everyone, Finally my judith Hindle and VFT have arrived.
-I have a few questions, What is a good sized pot for a Judith Hindle?
- How much PPM's can both Vft's and Judiths Handle?
Do I fill the Pitcher of the JH looks like they spilled their contents.
My VFT accidently fell in some water, some of traps closed, will it be ok?

i just planted my judith hindle in a 8" pot, as reccomended in The Savage Garden book but a 6" will also do
and as for PPm, i wouldent push those limits at all, just use the simple jugged water from say IGA or ANYWERE, but ensure that its been reverse osmosised
i use ozonated bottled(jugs) water from iga with a floride content of below 0.1 ppm
dasani bottled water: reverse osmosised- non carbonated total dissolved solids below 35ppm floride ions 0 ppm i was told this is 2 harsh when i had began, dont use this stuff trully purely refreshing though!!!
i used rain water with great success lastyear, allthough a good flush with some PURE BOTTLED H2O dident hurt eh

Was a 4" pot too little for a 30 cm tall judith hindle?

don't get dasani. Dasani is RE-MINERALISED water. Just go to your local fortinos or price chopper and get one of those DISTILLED water 5 gallon bottles or the 4 L bottles. The 4 liter ones are like 99 cents min to around 1.99 max.

How about Aquafina bottled water? It's reverse osmosis water?

I have some in front of me here, and it says it is demineralized treated water...by reverse osmosis-ozonized. It also says dissolved mineral salts <10 p.p.m. Fluoride ions 0.3 p.p.m. These mineral levels are definitely in the ball park. I would say it is safe to use this, but probably isn't going to be the most cost effective water you can use. Try to look for some straight distilled water...nothing added. Even if you have to go to WalMart. They sell it there, and probably a whole lot of other places. If you live in Toronto, you should be able to find RO or distilled water very easily in 5 gallon refillable bottles at most Supermarkets.

The cheapest is PriceChopper @ $0.99 per 4 litres distilled. Unless you distill it yourself (which I do now).

No. I would provide some shade, and then gradualy bring them into full light over the next two weeks.
If they are not used to this much light they will sunburn and die back and then take a while to regrow.
So go slow
