Hi
Does anyone think that me re-potting my VFT due to the root protruding out of the drain system, might have caused it some stress or even lead to death?
When i first bought the plant, it wuz recovering from its conditions. It only had 2 Open traps and 1 forming trap. I also let it flower, and now all the flowers are shriveled up. However, now it has total 8 traps and i was put in this predicament. The main hint i got from all of this was that it produced a "shock trap", a leaf with no trap, just a black stub.
Any advice/reassurances?

DOn't worry..... sounds like you brought that VFT back from sure death. It would be nice to see a pic...but if your vft has grown enough that the roots are coming out of the drain holes...thats a good sign. Well....I used to have a sarr and 4 large vfts (I traded them away) which had root systems almost a foot in length. Its fine. Just pot it up in a 6 inch round pot or whatever you fancy....give it enough light (direct sunlight is the best) and give it pure water (rain, RO or distilled). The plant will then be on autopilot and you can just enjoy it.

It has been 2 days since i repotted and now my plant seems to be doing very well. Im so overjoyed! It has alreadi opened both the traps i closed and seems to be taking this whole repotting very well. It is now back to its normal state.
PS: repotting was the best thing i could have done in my situation. Also, for those ppl who were shaking while repotting, i was shaking too!

lol! I actually can understand how funny the older veterans in this hobby must have felt when I started. Don't worry dude...... VFT's are very forgiving and can easily get growing once it gets good conditions.
