Hello you dr linearis fans (must not be a lot around ) Funnily enough, among the seeds I had sown last spring (after being in the fridge for the whole winter 06-07), i.e. in April last year, about 50 % germinated and developed last summer. Only a 10% survived the winter (well, I had repotted them maybe too late in the autumn...) but this 10% has been growing again for about one month now. The most exciting thing is that among the seeds which had NOT germinated in pots last year, about 10% did germinate last month. Finally, the remaining seeds, after 1 1/2 year in the fridge, which I sowed 2 months ago, have also germinated at the rate of about 60%. If anybody knows ( or wants to know) more about this unpredictable speces, (s)he is most welcome to contact me or post a message here! Kindly, Olivier, Switzerland

Greetings,
I have a feeling that drosera have a fairly high mortality rate over a given winter anyway, otherwise, with the number of seed that they produce, you'd think they'd become extremely thick over time, but it rarely seems to be the case with linearis.
It would be interesting to observe a given colony over time and compare what was there as hibernacula in the fall versus what successfully grows in the spring.
