Hi guys, If you guys remember...from last year when I started off...I had 4 vfts. I put them through dormancy the first time this year...and I hadn't watered them during that time for 5 months. When I came back a few days ago...I checked and saw that all the top was dead in all pots. THe leaves shrivelled away. I put them in the backyard but to no avail for the past 2 weeks. (becos my mom was watering them with tap water during that time). I was going to give up on them....but thought...might as well check and see whats under the soil. I cant believe my eyes. When I started off this hobby, these rhizomes were the size of a fingernail when I got them from keehns carnivores. Remember the talks of a corm the size of a golf ball?? It is true...vft corms can get that big. lol! Now these were the plants in 6 inch pots on the day my parents took them home to put them in basement cold room. Now.....see the corms (excuse the picture quality, parents are sleeping, can't go barging into their room to pick up the main camera). BTW...the corm I am pointing to is of the B52 which is ALL SINGLE. the piece beside it is connected. Its the WHOLE thing. its diameter is bigger than a golf ball. SHows you how resilient VFT's can be. 5 months without a single drop of water. cheers, V
