Hi! I would like to wake up my pitcher plants(sarracenia and darlingtonia). The old pitchers are now brown and green, with old flys in it: that maked some white and blue thing on the old pitchers. Then, I cutted the pitchers of one plant, cause I wasn't sure if I was doing the wrong thing. Tonight, I would repot them all in a fresh and new soil. Do you think I am doing a good thing? Can you tell me what would be better please? Thanks! tom

Soil for darlingtonia?? Loose man! real loose! Thats atleast what I find works for mine. I use all live sphagnum....in specific sphagnum megallicium or something like that. Its a very very open media with some bark in there as well. The moment I water the plant...it just comes out from the bottom. As far as I can see it works.
