Tittle says it all, what do you like in sarracenia. If you went to a nursery full of any sarracenia species, cross and cultivar, what are you looking for? what traits, what plant at the end of the day are you comming home with? Thanks Sib ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

I would love the white sarrs. I want the single clone 9 sarr. leucophylla alba. That is my holy grail in sarrs. No red...just white and a hint of green. Now..thats what I want. Thats all I want.

lol Jay, cause thats an easy thing for the guy that has pretty much everything! Maybe I should have given different criteria for this. What I meant more then any specific plants are traits. Like do you like tall or short pitcher, upright, decumbent or somewhere in the middle? are you into contrast (like really dark veins on pale green), or over all colour like aurtopurpurea? frilly hoods? over hangers, skybangers, overlapers... do you look for certain plants in the make up? That kind of thing? Thanks sib ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Since I'm still fairly new to this, and I like species as opposed to hybrids, I will go with the species first, but not all of them. I like leucophylla and flava the best, but not the all-green form of flava, which I have. It's kind of boring. I'm looking for the other foms of flava. Hybrids involving these and purpurea and possibly psittacina are what I'm looking for now. Actually, any hybrid that is hardy to cold climates would be really good, but they don't exist!

I think I would take plants like flytrap said. Or plants with great colors. But if I could, I would like to have typical plants, like flava, oreophilla, alata etc...

I guess for me, I'm a sucker for colour. I like to see atleast 2 colours on a plant, but the more the better. I also like patterns, veining, netting, helps for the contrast in oppose to a solid red plant for example(you'd basically need to plant it next to a solid green plant to get the same effect!). I'm also a fan of the bigger the better, so i guess size dose matter atleast to me! As a general rule I'm not too fond of goofy pitcher shapes, I like a proper upright pitcher (so few psit hybrids hehe). I also like ruffles and flairs, and over sized lids, but typically the functioning kinds... To me unless its for breeding purposes, the parantage isnot as important as the way it looks... just my 3 cents hehe Sib ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)
