Just curious as to what dark cultivars/forms are out there? I once saw a picture of a remarkable alata black tube, was completely black inside and out and also saw another picture of a leuco dark purple form, which was nearly black with brilliant white spots... Just being nosey I guess! Sib

N.ramspina is black inside. N.muluensis x lowii is very dark almost black. I think there is a black dragon or something not sure on the parentage.

There's a new nep species that is supposed to be black - A new species from West Sumatra called Nepenthes izumiae. Rob Cantley of Borneo Exotics states: The plant is featured in the book ‘Nepenthes of Sumatra' by Charles Clarke as species B. Pitcher coloration is nearly black with contrasting white interior. New introduction to cultivation. Well... like most of you out there in CP cyberland... gotta get this one.... someday

Sorry to break the good conversation, but I was looking for sarracenia info. Jay- No cultivars or hybrids come to mind? I've seen pictures over the last couple years but haven't been able to track down names. Sib
