Well the good weather has hit and it's got me looking good and hard on last years seedlings that spent the winter on my bench... Here are 3 of the strongest ones: As you can see, they've shot up nicely this year. they're from my watterbottle method, so for scale reffernce they're in the bottom quarter of a 600ml bottle, and thats an average plant tag...finally got them in! something like 4" I'm going to stick em out in the bog garden this year to grow on, but am curious as to how to handle them, ones like these in particular: Should I split them up? Its easy for some of the smaller or sparser ones, but how should these be handled? I don't want to kill em at this point! Thoughts? Sib

I just put them in water to get all the soil off and gently separate out the viable plantlets while they're floating in the water.

pretty fast for 1 year...did you grow them in ''normal'' condition or 24/day light? and, what do you mean when you say ''spent the winter on my bench''... is it proper sens or an expression or ...?

yep, just regular conditions on my grow stand all winter. they would have likely been further on but I left them sealed in their water bottles all summer long so they had no food. Sib

you wouldn't believe it....I was soo close to getting a danas delight. I was in buffalo on sat for my bro and I forced my parents to take me to manne's nursary. Dammit....they had VFTs...typicals, capensis, and some bad looking sarrs. the guy said they will be getting neps, sarrs (new) and other great stuff this coming week. can u believe my luck .. DAMMIT!! well....I guess one at a time....for now I am happy with what I have... my "movable" plant capacity has exploded already .
