so iv had this plant for a few weeks now and it is showing growth now but i just noticed that almost all the pitchers have dried and browned, is it from to much direct sun or is just casue it spent a week in a box and its adjusting to its climate?? [ftp]http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=5673560[/ftp]
my plants get the most brightest sun of the day around 2-4 directly, i have a shade which alows for partial full sun, should i be blocking all direct sun around this time??

My S. purp gets full sun behind a window. I think as long as the roots are moist it should come back.

Ah scorch I know it well! Kheen told me that the plants need to be aclimized to full sun. I did something simular to my sarrs because I was short on time. ended up scorching all the old leaves off, but they're putting up a great burst of new growth now. Worry not it will recover! Sib

You're worring too much! the new growth put out looks heathy and robust! Bumps like the ones your refferring to happen easily and can be caused by a million things when the pitcher is forming. a bird bite, misplaced step, but bite, random debris hitting it, heck strong wind rubbing it against another part of the plant, possibilities are endless. As for trimming the burnt bits, I wouldn't worry. Sib
