Thx everyone! I'll post some pict later on how to do this. And for selling some cabinet i prefer to explain how i did mine. Like i said i'm good in automatisation but all i use is industrial stuff (hard to find, Very very expensive but so reliable). This setup cost me about 2300$$ , and it's still not working as expected .... And for the type of plant i could put in you'll be the expert!

By the way, what brand of microcontroller do you use? Microchip?

I don't use a microcontroler, instead i use a plc (programmable logic controler) from siemens. It's use in industrial application, some can cost up to 10 000$ but mine cost 900$ ( did not paid that much un ebay!). My touch screen is a siemens too so when i plug it in my plc they speak the same ''language''.PLC are much more easy to program since it has preprogrammed fonction in it. (Like advanced mathematic regulation formula) My PLC and my touch screen can be programmed by a small software , using drag and drop.(language called ladder) Lloyd, do you use microcontroler? I tried it at work but my C++ s*ck.

I use Microchip, mainly 16F88. I find assembler is better for the smaller Microchip PIC as it gives better control of the limited hardware. PIC's do take a lot of fussy programming. Also a 16F88 costs about $2-3! My C++ is lukewarm but my C is pretty good and C is more than enough for PIC's.

Lloyd do you use it to control your temperature, humidity.... or is it to for something else. If you are using it to control your cp environnement i would like to know what's your part number for the humidity sensor . I'd like to add a second one in mine. thanx

I keep thinking of setting up some sort of control for my CP's but I'm too lazy. I just use PIC's to play around with such as a darkroom timer for my son and a remote control for my old Lego Robots. One day I'd like to set up servomotors to lift and lower the lids of my terrarium when the sun makes the temperature go too high. You're way out of my league.

holy crap! that is wicked you guys! damn! you have to teach me how to use those kind of things. It will be great to logic a computer to control temperature and humidity. Man! vinc is right...you can grow and outgrow neps like crazy in a setup that is consistent like that.

That's my goal!!! With your help, some more money and a lot of time i hope i'll be able. And by the way if someone has the money i can help him to build his own setup. ( the kind of composant i use are made for industrial use so it's expensive.)
