Like the name sounds, what would be your CP "Holy Grail", the thing that you MOST would like to add to your collection that has thus far eluded you?? I had the Tiny Giant, Cephalotus follicularis, in this spot til luck and generousity made one available to me.. now I'd kinda have to think about it, my main, current goal is to see a pitcher on ANY Nep that is not N.ventricosa, but if I think hard enough about it, I will come up with a specimen or two that I would walk through fire for... There isn't MUCH of an ulterior motive here but I figured if we had a thread to post our CP desires it could at the very least lead to some sort of discussion... So what would YOU go bananas over?? What would make your knees weak if you were confronted by it at your local Greenhouse??

I'd like to get some of the weirder tropical Pings with the long stringy leaves and the ones with the more exotic flowers. Also more of the epiphytic utric's particularly if they flowered unlike my longifolia.

A cephalotus would still be very high on my list, as would be several Nepenthes (rajah comes to mind right now).

Flytrap that's real funny that you didn't even bother to list the Genus, and funnier that I didn't wonder for a second which one you meant!! Who need binomials if you're a Nep guy eh

Come to think of it ...you're right! Wish list = me in a candy store. I should have properly given the fellows its genus... Nepenthes. Binomials in our bilingual country... ah, c'est la vie mon ami! S'il vous plaît pardonner mon inadvertance

No worries, I know how it is Bro, no time for fancy names when you're thinking about the "ultimate score" I have CP dreams sometimes where the IMPOSSIBLE happens, and I don't use proper terminology in them either

Wow, hard to tell just one, but now that i have a tiny hamata growing, I would go for Pinguicula sp Lautner... Quote: "the thing that you MOST would like to add to your collection" - Vic Brown's mexican Pinguicula growlist!

For the moment, I would say that I am saturated with CPs. My wish would be that all my summer and autumn arrivals survive my occasional neglect, the damn bugs and everything else nasty that can invade my collection!
PS: Tom how is your Tiny rajah going?

It's not a rajah but a hamata Martin It's doing fine, unlikely the Ceph and the U. humboldtii (both died)

N. inermis is at the top of my list. I almost had it once, but then found that it was a N. inermis x bongso or something. Still waiting for a canadian vendor to be able to supply it ;D .

hmm, to pick one would be a problem for me, as my interests kinda change and I have different interests (genus wise) at different times of the year. So pick what you think outta this Nepenthes: rafflesiana- just such variety, but I prefer the typical shaped giant with speckling/splashing of colour or bicalcarata- love the pitcher shape and fangs Drosera: toss up between regia and cuneifolia and schizandra sarracenia: that could be a long list, generally speeking it would be leucos probably, any form, but I do remember 2 forms I've seen, a black and white one aswell as a purple and white one. Thanks, Sib
