I use two of these units to hold trays of plants in my windowsill.
As others have noted, the racks are not strong enough to support plants and lighting, nor are they very good outside, unless you are using it on a protected porch or other area where you could anchor it.
I think you would be better off with a stronger setup that can handle the heavier weights of CPs, with water trays and much heavier media.
I was thinking of using it as a critter resistant enclosure for outdoor plants. There's a place near me that sells 3, 4 and 5 way PVC elbows in different diameters that I think I could use to build something sturdier for a similar cost.
