I started this from a bare root cutting from BE through jack and jeannie years ago. I did not take a picture of it until this stage shown below. I think I started it back in 2007 ( even though I didnt submit the photo to deviant art til '09) From this : to this : front view: this trap is a little smaller than the last one, but still measures over 30 cm ! more if you include his hat ! yip, it is a boy. flowered earlier this year for the first time.

Wow, that lip is so nice. And I've never seen nep flowers in person before. Are they scented?

These male flowers weren't scented, but the female ones on my brothers nepenthes ( different variety) smelled like decaying meat :/ My nieces revolted eventually and cut them off one night :D It was pretty funny, though my brother was less amused...
