Nep. pods have dozens of seeds. To advertise 10+ Nep. seeds is a caution sign. Amazing carnivores is well known here and not in a good way. In the future inquire here before buying. I assume you can afford the loss of $10.50. You might as well put the seeds in some medium for a few months.

Last year I bought some seeds from him. Just to try out seeds and maybe have a lowland setup in my garage. Wasn't a good idea on my part because during the winter my garage is absolutely freezing. I had heard all sorts of negativity towards Rick but gave him the benefit of the doubt and purchased a bunch of different seeds from various species and crosses. I had never tried my hand at seeds before so I had no idea what I was doing. I was just trying things I read. Suffice to say I had germination in almost every one of my trays. All but one I believe. I think it was the maxima wavy leaf thy didn't germinate whatsoever. All the rest had sprouts here and there , though not abundant. Anyways all in all it was a good experience for me. Yes I know his reputation with some. And having spoken with him online on many accounts I understand he can come off strong willed and even arrogant. That said, the seed I got from him was for the most part alright. And he also checked in with me on various occasions to see how things were going and offered to send more of something if something never worked at all but others did. Unlike some , he isn't out yo prey on people. I'm not trying to stand behind him and fight his battles but I will share my experience bein that it was generally pleasant. Always use caution though when purchasing from anyone, regaurdless of how well you may or may not know them.
Happy growing !

I will second what Lloyd said about keeping updated here for things like seed though. This is a great place to get fresh viable seed of all kinds. The generosity of the growers here is second to none

From what I've heard, Rick was not the most honest seller in the past. I don't know if he started a "new leaf" but from the advertisement, that is a very bad deal for Nepenthes seeds. The vendor I like to use and many others do to is: www.ebay.com/usr/albermarlesounds?_trksid=p2047675.l2559I know there are some folks that do not support this however, it is always better to see nicer choices. I can even bet you that mazingcarnivores may have gotten his seed from vendors in Indonesia.

I'm very happy to see this thread. I bought from him in the past but nothing grew. I suppose it could just have been my inexperience, but I did try reading up and following step by step on my research, so I think I should have had at least a couple of sprouts. I'm glad to hear about others' opinions, because I didn't find too much on the seller when looking online. I think after finding this place, I won't need to go on eBay all that much, except for those who are members here or those who people here vouch for. Loving it!
